The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Health Secretary Abid Majeed has directed the concerned quarters to come up with a comprehensive summary entailing all statistics for the establishment of the proposed Directorate.
In a meeting on Thursday with health secretary in the chair, the Deputy Drugs Secretary Muhammad Ibrahim gave a presentation on setting up the proposed directorate.
Majeed, while addressing the meeting, said that a meticulous summary entailing all details must be prepared within a couple of days.
Should it do so, K-P will become the first province in the country to have a separate directorate for drug control and pharmacy services.
The proposed directorate shall have the mandate to control medicines, hospital pharmacies, drug testing and analysis activities.
