The city police recovered a body on Saturday from near a cricket ground adjacent to Fatima Jinnah Park. The body of the “slaughtered young man” was shifted to Pims for post-mortem where it had been lying unidentified till the filing of this report.
The man appeared to be in his early twenties and was wearing black kurta and white shalwar. He had a short-height and his neck had been slit. He was probably slaughtered at the place from where the body was recovered, said a police official.
“We had recovered the murder weapon [knife] from near the site of murder,” he added. He said that the police had also gotten hold of important clues to find the killers and efforts are being made to trace the family of the boy.
