Protest erupts after a student atop a bus fell and died

ISLAMABAD: A passenger bus was set on fire in Gujar Khan on Wednesday by students protesting the death of a young man.

The young man was sitting atop the bus, travelling from Rawalpindi to Faisalabad via GT road, when he reportedly slipped, fell and died on the spot.

Protesting the accident, the students set afire to the bus and damaged another bus coming from Lahore. Consequently, the GT road remained blocked for several hours.

Meanwhile, Rescue 1122 reached the scene with fire brigades to extinguish the fire.

Khan | 6 years ago | Reply The one who died is sinful homself as by sitting on top of bus is illegal and everyone knows that. By sitting on top you voluntarily agrees with the mishaps. Why students ablazed bus of a poor driver who has to feed his family.
