At least six killed after under-construction bridge collapses in Kohat

Two people are injured as the bridge suddenly caves in near Shin Dhand area of FR Kohat

PESHAWAR: At least six people were killed and two others injured when an under-construction bridge in Shin Dhand area of FR Kohat suddenly caved in on Sunday, an official confirmed.

According to details, labourer were busy working on the bridge when it suddenly collapsed, killing six people on the spot while two others received critical head injuries.

APA Khalid Ilyas also confirmed the incident.

Soon after the incident, rescue and police officials along with the officials of political administration rushed to the area and launched a relief operation soon after.



Six bodies were recovered from the debris while the two injured taken to the district headquarters hospital Kohat for medical treatment.

Eye witnesses also confirmed the sudden collapse of the under-construction bridge.
