Police have recovered stolen property, weapons from their possession

ISLAMABAD: The capital’s police have arrested three people alleged to be part of a street crime gang and recovered stolen property and weapons from their possession, a police spokesperson said on Saturday. Responding to reports of street criminal activity, Islamabad SSP Najeebur Rehman Bugvi tasked Industrial Area SP Liaquat Hayat Niazi to speed up efforts to arrest criminals. Subsequently, a police squad headed by DSP Sardar Ghulam Mustafa nabbed three suspected street criminals, identified as Asim Ali Shah, Zakaria Ali and Usman Ali. “Islamabad Shams Colony Police on Saturday arrested three street criminals and recovered stolen cash, mobile phones and weapons from the possession of the criminals,” the police spokesperson said. According to the initial investigation, the accused had allegedly confessed that they along with other accomplices were responsible for committing various criminal acts.
