Medical Examination: Health week starts tomorrow

The facilities will include provisions to run tests for diabetes, malaria, hepatitis, TB, other diseases

FAISALABAD: The Punjab government will organise the 2nd health week from February 19 to 24. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani. About 44 health camps will be set up at different THQ Hospitals and rural and basic health centres for the medical examination of people, he said. The facilities provided to the people at these camps would include provisions to run tests for diabetes, malaria, hepatitis, TB and other diseases, while also giving patients counseling regarding their health. He stated that special arrangements had been made at these camps for the medical examination of pregnant women. He said that the camps would function from 8:00am to 4:00pm during the week, while doctors and paramedical staff have been assigned special desks and duties. He informed that people and children both will be vaccinated for hepatitis-B.
