LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, senior leaders Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi have stressed that the issue of Kashmir should be resolved as per the wishes of the Kashmiri people by implementing the resolutions set by the United Nations.

In a message issued on Monday, they said that great sacrifices have been rendered by the Kashmiris for securing their right to self-determination. Their struggle will not go waste and PML-Q like the whole nation stood with them, they added.

PML-Q leaders said that the Kashmiri people were waiting for the fulfillment of promises India had made at the UN. Instead of giving them the right to self-determination, Indian forces were using oppressive tactics and force against the innocent people in the occupied Kashmir, they added.

They said that fundamental rights of Kashmiris were being flagrantly violated and even women, children and elders were being subjected to oppression so that their voice could be suppressed. However, they would not rest until they get freedom from Indian shackles, they added.

They said that democratic and peace loving people of the entire world should raise their voices for saving the people of occupied Kashmir from Indian oppression and violence.
