Sonam Kapoor to marry long-term beau Anand Ahuja this summer

Family is planning a June wedding for the two, reveals a source

With Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s private wedding in Tuscany and Ranveer Singh’s relationship with Deepika Padukone making headlines, speculations of many Bollywood couples following suit and planning to get hitched in 2018 have recently surfaced.

One such rumoured couple is Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja. And while the Saawariya star usually shies away from talking about Anand, her social media displays a lot of affection for her beau, reported Filmfare.

On why she refuses to disclose details on her personal life, Sonam previously stated, “Nobody has the right to access my personal life. This one part has to be in my control. I am ready to talk about me but there is another person involved here and I need to respect him.”



She added, “I don’t think it’s okay for me to speak about somebody else. Everything I put out there is with his permission and whatever he puts out there is with my permission. But if somebody is asking me a question publicly I don’t think it is okay for me to speak about the person because that person has not signed up for it. This is just keeping it a little sacred – keeping it in my control.”

Nonetheless, more recently, a source has revealed that the two are “planning a June wedding.”

The source also shared that the duo will have an intimate engagement ceremony prior to their big day.  Further reports suggest that the Padman actor has chosen Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla to design the perfect wedding outfits.



“Sonam is very sure of her feelings for Anand. He's a very nice boy and cares deeply for her. Although Anil was initially unsure about Anand - like all fathers are about their daughters' boyfriends - over time, Anil and his wife Sunita have accepted Anand as part of their family,” expressed the source.

He continued, “Sonam's brother Harshvardhan is also very comfortable in his company. It may be a destination wedding or a big fat Punjabi Delhi wedding. The two families are still to decide.”
