Hepatitis B & C: All police officers to be tested

It was brought to the notice of IGP Sindh that numerous officers are suffering from the disease.

KARACHI: All police personnel will be tested for Hepatitis B and C as it has been brought to the notice of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari that numerous officers and personnel are suffering from the disease.

Work was started on May 2 and will continue till May 9. AIG Welfare Ali Sher Jakhrani will conduct the campaign, and submit a report to the Provincial Police Officer on May 10.

So far, blood samples have been collected from 20,000 of the 115,000 personnel of the Sindh Police.
