Rising temperatures: Hill stations attracting tourists

PTDC sets up resorts, hotels, motels and restaurants at most hill stations.

ISLAMABAD: Temperature, along with power outages, continues to rise in the central and southern parts of the country, hence contributing significantly to people’s woes. However, the country’s northern areas including places like Murree, Ayubia, Swat and Chitral, continue offering a pleasant weather.

The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has set up its resorts, hotels, motels and restaurants at most of these hill stations which opened on May 1 to accommodate tourists at affordable rates.

The PTDC has launched a number of discounted tour packages for groups, families and students. Also, tourist coach services to Swat and Kaghan Valley will be resumed from June 1.
