LAHORE: The annual elections of Lahore Education Reporters Association (LERA) were held at the office of Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) on Thursday in which new body for the year 2018 was elected. Hafiz Ejaz Bashir of APP was elected as the new president, Rafia Naheed Ikram of Nawa-e-Waqt as vice president, Bilal Ahsan of Jaag TV CNBC as general secretary, Mohammad Ali of Khabrain as finance secretary, Ali Babar of Jehan Pakistan as joint secretary and Ali Arshad of daily 92 was elected as secretary information. Khalid Khattak of The News performed the duties of an election commissioner. Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Zakira Zakir congratulated the newly-elected office bearers of Lahore Education Reporters Association (LERA) 2018 including President Hafiz Ejaz Bashir (APP), Vice President Rafia Naheed Ikram (Nawaiwaqt), Secretary General Bilal Ahsan (Jaag TV), Finance Secretary Muhammad Ali (Khabrain), Information Secretary Ali Arshad (92 News), Joint Secretary Ali Baber (Jehan Paksitan) and other office-bearers.
