Lama told police he had bought the drone from a shop in Kathmandu for entertainment purposes. Authorities in Nepal consider drone use illegal. However, there is no specific law to regulate use of drones in Nepal.
Nepalese security agencies remain vigilant over the use of drones as they may be used for spying.
