PPP announces office bearers for K-P party wings

Nominees include presidents and general secretaries of Peoples Doctors Forum, PSO, PSF

ABBOTTABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) announced provincial office bearers of different party wings including Peoples Doctors Forum (PDF),Peoples Labour Bureau, People Minority Wing, Cultural wing, Youth Wing and Peoples Students Organisation for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Saturday.

“Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has approved the officer bearers of different wings of the party in K-P,” said a notification issued by According to the notification issued by PPP Chairman Secretariat Political Secretary Jameel Soomro.

Dr Nisar Khan has been notified as President of Peoples Doctors Forum while Dr Daud Iqbal as general secretary and Dr Faheem Khan as secretary.

Similarly M Aslam Adil, Baz Muhammad Khan and Lal Badshah Shah were nominated as president, general secretary and information secretary respectively for People Labour Bureau K-P. Naseeb Chand and Yasir Bhatti were nominated president and general secretary respectively for Peoples Minority wing of the province while Arif Masih has been assigned duty of Information secretary.

The cultural wing of PPP has also been announced for which Khawaja Yawar Naseer has been appointed as president, Tahir Abbass as general secretary and Mansoor Zafar as information secretary.

The office bearers of Peoples Youth Organisation include Malik Amjad as president, Sami Khan, general secretary and Hanif Khan as information secretary. Rashid Afridi has been appointed president of Peoples Students Federation K-P while Riaz Yousafzai and Innamullah Dawoodzai have been given duties in the provincial set up of PSF, considered the most powerful wing of PPP.

Meanwhile PDF spokesman and newly appointed General Secretary Dr Daud Iqbal have expressed their gratitude to the provincial and central leadership for their nominations and expressed hope to continue their efforts for ideological struggle and revival of the party.

In a statement, Dr Daud said, PDF will continue its effort for the welfare of entire doctors community of the province.
