Pakistan’s television personality and chef Zubaida Apa passed away at the age of 72. Zubaida Tariq came to prominence in the late 90s for to her recipes and home remedies or totkas. She was regarded as a cooking mentor and thousands of people learned cooking by watching her shows. Her death flooded social media with condolence messages in which prominent personalities, politicians, writers, poets and actors expressed grief and sorrow over her demise — may her soul rest in peace.
Saba Qamar responds to marriage rumours
The rumour mill started turning about Saba Qamar being in a relationship after she posted a picture on Instagram with a guy. The caption of the picture read: ‘Just friends’ and people speculated the actor is all set to tie the knot! Now, in the most subtle way possible, Qamar has hinted that she is very much single. Taking to Instagram, the starlet posted two pictures. She posted the first picture with a befitting message and caption, “Someone is spreading rumours about me!” The second picture was posted recently, and had a caption, “Guys relax. I’m not getting married anytime soon. So please stop spreading this rumor about me. Live and let live.” Take it easy, guys!
Paris Hilton gets engaged to Chris Zylka!
2018 started on a happy note for Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka who got engaged during their skiing trip to Aspen, Colorado. Zylka, who acted in US drama The Leftovers, got on one knee and popped the question with a whopping 20-carat diamond ring against a backdrop of beautiful snow-capped mountains. The two have been dating for two years and hope to tie the knot soon.

Sajal Aly took to Instagram recently to share the video of her on screen mom, receiving the award on stage. “Mom is a film I’m extremely emotional about,” said Sri Devi. “I would like to thank the entire cast and crew of the movie. Iceland Becomes first country to make equal pay a law
On January 1, Iceland law declared it illegal for employers to have salary discrepancies between men and women. In short, it’s now illegal to pay a woman less than they would a man for the same job. Iceland becomes the first country to enact an equal pay mandate and it’s a move that has been progressing there for some time. According to the World Economic Forum, Iceland has been ranked the most gender-equal country for the past nine years. Way to go!

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja to reportedly wed in March
Seems like shaadi vibes are permeating the air! Sonam Kapoor is expected to tie the knot in 2018 with beau, Anand Ahuja after Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s high profile wedding last month. The actor and fashionista has already booked Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur for a week in March, a time auspicious for wedding nuptials. According to a reliable source, “Sonam Kapoor has booked the palace for 5-6 days somewhere around March and it is suggestive that she might tie the knot here”.
