AIOU emerges as top university

It's distance learning institution has an enrolment of 1.3 million students

ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has emerged as the country’s top educational institution in terms of student enrolment, academic structure and books’ handling. The distance learning institution, with its enrolment of 1.3 million students, having 44 regional offices throughout the country, has a special distinction of handing huge volume of books. The total strength of teaching staff is around 75,000 says a news release Tuesday said.
