Tourism: Beaches to get facelift

KARACHI: The government is trying to promote tourism in the city by setting up huts and tourist resorts at Hawke’s Bay beach, said Sindh Toursim Minister Mohammad Ayaz Soomro while addressing a Travel Agencies and Hotel Owners Association reception on Friday.

He told the tourism secretary to open an account for the Sindh Department of Tourism Services to help hotels and travel agencies with their finances and to enhance the tourism department’s revenue.

Other tourist destinations such as Keenjhar Lake and Gorakh Hill Station are also being developed.

The department is trying to open daily PIA flights from Karachi to Moen jo Daro.
