ZIARAT: Inspector General of Frontier Corps (IG FC) Major General Nadeem Anjum said on Monday that the youth of Balochistan had rejected the so-called leaders who were luring them and arming them in the name of war for basic rights.

“Our young generation is our asset and it will work for the development of Pakistan and Balochistan,” he said while addressing the flag hoisting ceremony in Ziarat Residency on the 141st birth anniversary of Qauid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

“Twenty years before the creation of Pakistan, our founding father Muhammad Ali Jinah had announced a political movement for the rights of the people of Balochistan which was strongly opposed by Nehru and other Congress leaders,” he said.

“Qazi Essa was nominated as head of All India Muslim League in Balochistan, and people of the province, particularly the youth, had participated and strived for the Independence of the country,” he added.

Applauding the Baloch youth serving in the country’s armed forces, the IG FC said that up to 30,000 Baloch youth were serving in the armed forces.

He said that the leaders had been arming the Baloch youth with guns and grenades, instead of books and pen. “Our youth have to focus on educational activities because educated Baloch youth can lead this province towards development.”
