K-P Assembly approves amendments to Public Service Ordinance

The weightage of the interview in the selection process has been decreased from 60 to 40 per cent.

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Friday approved the amendments made to the Public Service Ordinance of 1968.

Under the amendments, the term of members of the Public Service Commission has been reduced from the five to three years.

The weightage of the interview in the selection process has also been decreased from 60 to 40 per cent.

The appointment of the chairman and members of the PSC will be made by the Search Committee instead of the Chief Minister.

Current members of the commission have been laid off after the amendments, Express 24/7 reported.
