LAHORE: Punjab governor has nominated renowned international scientist, microbiologist, immunologist and UVAS senior most tenured Prof Dr Masood Rabbani as Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Veterinary and Animal Science (UVAS), Lahore.

He is second pro vice-chancellor of the university. Dr Rabbani is currently serving as Faculty Veterinary Science (FVS) dean. He has a PhD in Microbiology from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in 1997. He has a wide academic and administrative work experience of 30 years.

He is also the recipient of Izaz-i-Fazeelat presidential award (2005) for his academic distinction, best performance awards from Pakistan Poultry Association and Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council 2012-13, Best Teacher’s Award 2013-14 from the Higher Education Commission.

Prof Rabbani is also HEC-approved PhD supervisor and has supervised six PhD students. He is author of several publications with 50 impact factor and 385 citations.
