Depression: Woman commits suicide in Faisalabad 

Police say an argument with in-laws led to the women consuming poisonous pills

FAISALABAD: A young woman ended her life by consuming poisonous pills in the area of Jaranwala police station.

A police spokesperson said that 32-year-old Shazia, wife of Saleem and a resident of Chak No 298-GB, had an argument with her in-laws over some domestic matter. As a result, she became depressed and consumed poisonous pills.

She was immediately rushed to Allied Hospital for treatment but she breathed her last.The police handed over the body to the relatives after completing necessary formalities.

Meanwhile, the police arrested 16 people on charges of aerial firing and using fireworks in different areas of the city.

A police official said that relatives and friends of a groom resorted to aerial firing and used fireworks at a marriage function in Awan Chowk.

The police nabbed Mohsin, Rashid, Nisar, Irfan, Imran, Nadeem Abbas, Usman, Mudassar, Babar Hussain and others.
