Mallika Sherwat of Murder fame has reportedly been evicted from her apartment in Paris. Several media outlets have claimed that the 41-year-old actor along with her husband, Cyrille Auxenfans have been served with an eviction notice because they haven't paid the rent. According to Pinkvilla, the landlord approached the French court since the rent of 80,000 euros wasn't paid.

However, Mallika confirmed, "I do not live in Paris, neither do I own an apartment there nor rent one. I do not know why my name is being dragged into this. I am in Mumbai now. Before this, I was in Los Angeles with my family. Anybody who does not believe me can check my Instagram and Twitter posts for themselves.”

An international news channel reported that Mallika's lawyer, Olivier Mayrand said that the couple did not pay the rent to "show their annoyance" as last year, she was attacked in the building lobby.

The Pyaar Ke Side Effects actor was shocked to hear this and said that she did not who Olivier was and she has no lawyer that represents her. She stated, "It’s a very absurd story. It is not my apartment so where does the question of rent or eviction come into play?”

Last year, Mallika shared a photo of her and Cyrille captioned, "Falling in love is an extraordinary thing," which had many believe that the couple had tied the knot. However, she denied all such reports and said that Cyrille is "my friend."
