Loadshedding: Officials suspended for violating schedule

PITC has been constantly monitoring the loadshedding on all feeders through the online system

ISLAMABAD: On account of the violation of load management schedule, two chief engineers, one deputy director, one assistant engineer and a number of grid station in-charges have been suspended.

These include Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Chief Engineer Muhammad Iqbal Khan  Marwat, Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) Chief Engineer Syed Mohabat Shah, PESCO PDC Deputy Director Akhtar Hussain and PESCO Assistant Engineer Siddique Ahmed.

Apart from these some grid station in-charges who were also issued the suspension orders included  Haseebullah, Abdullah, Tahir Hussain Shah, Mohammad Miskeen, Ghulam Abbas and Allah Dino Solangi.

The suspension orders were issued by concerned authorities after the special monitoring unit of the Power Information Technology Company (PITC) detected violation of the load shedding schedule being implemented from December 4.

The PITC has been constantly monitoring the loadshedding on all feeders through the online system and the DISCOs have been directed to strictly adhere to the schedule. A special hotline has also been established to monitor and report the violation of the schedule.

The power division has further directed the DISCOs to provide maximum relief to the consumers and any violation of the schedule set on the basis of losses and recovery will not be tolerated.
