Prize Distribution Ceremony: Inter-regional girls’ sports conclude

Students from Peshawar secured the first position in volleyball.

PESHAWAR: Students from seven regions of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa attended the prize distribution ceremony of the Inter-regional Girls Sports competition at Frontier College for Women here on Tuesday. Students from Peshawar secured the first position in volleyball, while Kohat students stood second. In hockey and table tennis, Mardan got first position, while Peshawar came in second. The

college principle, Nuzhat Liaqat, distributed the prizes. Later Rasheeda Ghaznavi, Director of
Women Sports Board, presented a gift of honour to Liaqat. Liaqat, said that sports are essential for a healthy mind and body, adding that sports activities are “as important as curricular activities”. She said that the college is playing its role to promote sports among girl students in the province.
