PHP recovers drugs, weapons in past week

LAHORE: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) claimed to have recovered 981 litres of liquor, six kilogrammes of hashish, arrested two dacoits and recovered bundle of lost clothes during last week.

Furthermore, they also recovered stolen sheeps amounting to Rs150,000, arrested 126 suspects including 37 POs and rendered help to 3,768 commuters.

PHP Post Khambranwala received call from a victim Kabir who informed that the two suspects had snatched mobiles from his wife and son.

A PHP team conducted raid at upper Chinab and arrested the suspects, recovered a pistol, three bullets and four mobile phones from their possession.

In another case, PHP Post Gawain Kothi received information that bundle of clothes worth Rs100,000 had fallen down from an APV van. The team found the bundle and returned it to the real owner.
