Sikh army officer ties the knot

Army chief General Qamar Bajwa sends message extending good wishes to Major Hercharn Singh

Major Hercharn Singh, the first Sikh officer to be commissioned in the Pakistan Army got married on Sunday at the Gurdwara Puja Sahib, Hasan Abdal.

A number of serving and retired officers of Pakistan Army attended the marriage ceremony.

According to a press release issued  by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army chief General Qamar Bajwa sent a message to Major Hercharn Singh extending good wishes for his married life.



Harchar Singh was commissioned in Pakistan Army in 2007.

Pakistan Army remains a symbol of national integration and respects the rights of religious minorities in Pakistan.
