DERA GHAZI KHAN: At least two policemen were tortured for raiding a house without legal warrants in Dera Ghazi Khan on Thursday. A police official told The Express Tribune that Assistant Sub Inspector Muhammad Ibrahim and Constable Iftikhar Ahmed of Gadai police station raided a house on a complaint in Tabba Village without legal warrants.

This act infuriated the occupants of the house and they tortured the policemen and tied them with a tree. The enraged occupants also damaged the police vehicle and broke its windows, he added. Later, the police reached the spot and freed the policemen from the custody of the people.

They assured the villagers that action will be taken against the accused police officials for entering the house without legal documents. While taking notice of the incident, Dera Ghazi Khan DPO had sought report over the matter.
