Meanwhile, in a separate raid, security forces claimed to have recovered four improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from Qila Saifullah which were later defused.

A possible terror attack was foiled by the Balochistan Levies force in Kohlu district in the early hours of Sunday.

Last month, another major terrorist incident was averted by the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and intelligence agencies after conducting an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Sur China, Zhob district near Pak-Afghan border. A bomb-laden motorcycle as improvised explosive device (IED), hidden in nullah was also recovered.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, or Elimination of Discord, was launched in February after a sharp uptick in terrorist attacks in the country.
