Unanimously condemns 'Black Friday' sales

The Punjab Assembly unanimously passed a resolution to make faith in the Finality of Prophethood of Muhammad (pbuh) a part of curriculum, Express News reported.

The bill, presented by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N)’s MPA Waheed Gul, states that believing in the finality of prophethood will be mandatory for every Muslim student and called on the provincial and federal government to immediately implement the resolution.

On the assembly floor, Gul said that defending Khatm-e-Nabuwwat was part of Muslim faith. He added that this right was completely protected by the Constitution of Pakistan.

MNAs on the government and opposition benches in PA unanimously also condemned “Black Friday” sales. Leader of Opposition Mian Muhammad Rashid of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said Friday is a blessed day for the Muslim hence “black Friday” should be banned. He urged the government prosecute those celebrating it.



Meanwhile, the sit-in at Faizabad Interchange continues paralysing twin cities as the government’s efforts to negotiate a settlement suffered a major blow on Thursday [November 23] after some members of the committee, formed to talk to protesters, alleged that the federal government was not serious to resolve the deadlock.
