This was stated by renowned scholar Dr Habibur Rahman Asim while delivering a lecture on “Thoughts of Iqbal”, organised by the Students Adviser Office of the International Islamic University in Islamabad (IIUI), at its new campus on Thursday.
Dr Habib delivered a metaphorical lecture in which he discussed main objective and theme of Iqbal’s famous works, Javed Nama.
He also discussed Iqbal’s philosophy of self and journey of recognition and elaborated on the comparison Iqbal made between the west and the values of the east.
He highlighted Iqbal’s teachings about nationalism of west and importance of Quran and Ijtihad in the lives of Muslims.
“People are in uncertainty which is swallowing the creativity, lifestyle, vision and exposure to the self of an individual,” Dr Habib said.
