CTPL seizes 698 vehicles for underage driving

Thee city traffic police have also taken an action against smoky vehicles, improper number plates

LAHORE: The City Traffic Police Lahore seized 698 vehicles and issued 2,907 challan tickets during its ongoing campaign against underage drivers in the city. the impounded vehicles would be released on providing parents surety bonds for not giving vehicles to them in future. The data of impounded vehicles is being computerised.

On second time violation, an action would be taken against their parents. Whereas, the city traffic police have also taken an action against 3,727 smoky vehicles, 109,90 improper number plates and 742 without number plates. The City Traffic Police Road Safety units had been delivering lectures in schools and colleges to educate students. Chief Traffic Police Officer Rai Ejaz Ahmad urged parents and teachers to discourage under 18 youngsters to drive motorcycles, car or any sort of other vehicles.
