KARACHI: The federal government has decided to take steps under a well-coordinated strategy to foil conspiracies by foreign agencies that are involved in creating instability in Pakistan.

All elements, groups, organisations, military wings, facilitators and providers of financial and other resources will be eliminated completely. To eradicate these elements strict and fast operations will be undertaken, without giving any concession to these elements. The federal government is also expected to raise the issue of conspiracies by other countries to destabalise Pakistan on all international forums.

Kabul must take on terrorists, envoy told

Important sources in the federal capital said that all high-level authorities have discussed in detail the overall law and order situation in the country, the situation in Balochistan, cross-border terrorism by Afghanistan, conspiracies being hatched against CPEC, the agenda of hostile agencies to destabilise Pakistan. Action against terrorist organisations involved in disruption of law and order situation will be expedited.

Federal authorities have also communicated to the US and Afghanistan that their governments should take more action against terrorist organisations that use Afghan land and are involved, directly or indirectly, in destabalising law and order in Pakistan.

Federal authorities have also decided to disclose conspiracies by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) against Pakistan and CPEC at international level, including the United Nations.

On the international forum, Pakistan will also remind countries that it is playing a front-line role in the war against terror while some countries are constantly hatching conspiracies to destabilise it.

The UN, the US and other countries should pressurise India and other countries on a diplomatic level to ensure such conspiracies are eradicated. Moreover, Pakistan will use all available options to defend itself.

Sources told The Express Tribune that the federation has decided to take steps to address security issues in Balochistan. "Strict action will be taken against the elements disrupting law and order situation in the province. The peace programme will be expanded gradually."

The federal authorities have also started considering legal options available to get custody of those arrested through Interpol. If these people are arrested, the federal government will file cases against them on the charges of terrorism and other crimes and cases against these people will be sent to the military courts.

Sources informed The Express Tribune that the federal government has expedited the scrutiny of the cases of terrorists to ascertain those who fall under the purview of military courts. After completing the legal requirements, these cases will be sent to military courts.

The federation has also decided that no propaganda will be allowed against CPEC. Plans to protect CPEC will be implemented completely and work on the corridor will be accelerated.

The federal and provincial governments will continue work on the ongoing policy and strategy of coordinated efforts to improve the law and order situation in the country. The federal government has also promised to extend its full support to all the provincial governments.
