Malik, who is currently visiting Moscow to attend the Ministerial Meeting under Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), met the minister on the sidelines of the event. The two ministers expressed satisfaction at the upward trajectory of bilateral relations and expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation.

They also agreed on making joint efforts to enhance trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. On the occasion Malik extended invitation to Manturov for a visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience, which was responded to positively and accepted.
