Gen Qamar Bajwa visits Strike Corps at Mangla, witnesses ongoing training

Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Tuesday Pakistan has come a long way in responding to challenges and is bound to rise.

"The only thing needed is to stay steadfast and remain united as a nation," the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoted the COAS as saying.

Gen Qamar visited Strike Corps at Mangla and witnessed the ongoing training, the military's media wing added.

On this occasion, he also addressed the officers and troops. He appreciated state of high morale and standard of training.

He said that despite our commitments on western border and internal security duties we cannot remain oblivious of perpetual conventional threat, which demands high standards of training and operational readiness.

Quoting the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Gen Qamar said that no power [on earth] could undo Pakistan.

For this purpose, he added, the nation and its state institutions shall continue to cohesively perform in the best interest of the country.
