Priyanka Chopra has had quite an eventful career.

After being crowned Miss World in 2000, the Bollywood starlet kicked off her career in Indian cinema with Hero: Love Story of a Spy, starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.

While Priyanka is one of the most sought-after actresses today – with over 40 films under her belt – she could have done 10 more which she rejected due to issues with a reputed director, reported India Today.

In a recent interview, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra revealed, “A  designer told Priyanka that the director’s brief was to dress her in ‘itsy-bitsy clothes’. The director had said, ‘What is the point of having a Miss World in front of the camera if we cannot show her as her beautiful self?’ Priyanka refused to do the film.”

Madhu mentioned that her daughter had to pay a hefty price but she remained firm on her decision. “The film was being helmed by a well-reputed director and he got upset. Priyanka lost 10 films because she walked out of that project.”

Priyanka recently addressed the burning problem of sexual harassment at work, after multiple allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
