TAUNSA: A 120 megawatt power generation project is being installed on the Taunsa barrage with the help of the Chinese and Punjab government.
The Punjab government is expected to complete the project on the Taunsa barrage located in Muzaffargarh within three years.
The project is expected to help produce cheap electricity in the area and is expected to cost Rs26 billion.
The contract for the project has been given to the Punjab development company and construction work on the mega project has already begun in the district.
