‘Power Di Game’: Mahira Khan looks angry – and we love it
Another hint of what Verna has in store for us
KARACHI:
Verna’s official rap music video, Power Di Game, just came out and we’re falling more in love with Mahira Khan in the angry, young woman avatar (and yes, she is also changing the derogative of only men being allowed to be young and angry). The video was released by Patari Music and let’s just start by saying that Mahira looks like she could beat anyone in a fight.
The video teases us a little more about Verna’s story and it looks like Mahira and Haroon Shahid’s romance, as seen in the trailer, is short lived. The on-screen couple is seen playing the classic game of chess and it looks like Haroon might just be getting owned by Mahira, the invincible.
SCREENGRAB
‘Verna’ is about how rape is used as a tool to show power: Haroon Shahid
Seems like X Polymer Dar, the mastermind behind this rap song, has truly captured the emotions of the film’s characters in this song. The lyrics, the beat and the visuals are on par with each other.
SCREENGRAB
Whether you’re a character in a film or a Twitterati, this video surely proves that you don’t want to mess with Mahira.
Mahira Khan's 'Verna' features a rap song and we couldn't be more pleasantly surprised
The film will be released worldwide on November 17. Watch the latest music video here:
