MIAN CHANNU:

A woman, recently released from prison, murdered a five-year-old on Friday.

The women, who stole a gold necklace 15 years ago, strangled the granddaughter of the man who had her arrested and sent to prison.

On Friday, Village 124-15L resident Azizan Bibi strangled Asma, 5, two days after she was released from serving a 15-year sentence in prison. According to police officials, Azizan was implicated by Liaqat Ali’s wife at a wedding function several years ago.

“They called us to the function and accused her of stealing a gold necklace,” said Investigation officer Pasha.

He said “we found the necklace on her person and she was sentenced to 15 years.” Pasha said that Liaqat Ali and his wife had said that Azizan had been plotting against the family and that she had previously attacked Ali’s wife.

On Friday, Azizan Bibi abducted five-year-old Asma, who is Liaqat Ali’s granddaughter and strangled her with a rope.

The child’s body was abandoned outside Ali’s house. Police officials have arrested Azizan, who admitted to the murder and said she was helped by landlord Anwar Bhutta in exacting revenge on the family.

“She told us that she had decided to take revenge on the family while she was in prison.

She plotted to kill the girl with Bhutta and the pair  strangled her in a car. They later threw the body of the child outside the house,” Pasha said.

Maulana Diesel | 12 years ago | Reply @Owais...I agree with you. How do you get 15 years for stealing a necklace. I feel very very very sorry for the little girl who seems to be the collateral damage of this vendetta. I think what may have happened is that this woman was wrongly accused and spent 15 years for a crime that she didnt commit. She wanted revenge for the wrong that was done to her and this poor little girl paid for it with her life.
