Seven die, many others injured in Bajaur Agency landslide

Five women and a child among those killed; injured taken to Peshawar for treatment

Seven people were killed and several others injured in a landslide in Bajaur Agency's Athmankhel district on Friday.

Officials said many people were trapped under mud and rock following the landslide in the Gardai area, Express News reported.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene. Locals said seven people, including five women and a child, were killed in the incident.



The people injured in the landslide were taken to Peshawar for treatment.

 

Last month, three workers were killed in a landslide at a coal mine in the Shahrag area of Harnai district, Balochistan.
