Football: ‘Barca to uphold attacking philosophy’

MADRID: Barcelona’s attacking philosophy will remain the same for the Champions League semi-final first-leg against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu next week, said coach Pep Guardiola. The Catalans suffered a 1-0 extra-time defeat by their archrivals in the King’s Cup final, days after being held to a 1-1 draw by 10 men in the league at the Bernabeu. “It’s as if our style has become an excuse for us having lost the Cup final,” said Guardiola. “Whether you win or lose, the style is always the same.”
