Former Chairman of NICL Ayaz Khan was also brought to the court from jail during the hearing. The FIA has informed the court that Qasim Dada along with five others had escaped and therefore could not be presented in the court.

The court had earlier issued arrest warrants for Amin Qasim Dada and other absconders. They were earlier proclaimed offenders after they were implicated in the controversial land deal. Rs180 million owned by Amin Qasim Dada had earlier been confiscated by a trial court in the NICL scam.

Earlier unconfirmed reports indicated that Dada had left the country even though his name was on the Exit Control List.
