Foreign faculty to teach at Nishtar Medical University

A good number of Nishtar alumni are ready to teach free of charge

MULTAN: Nishtar Medical University Acting Vice Chancellor Dr Mustafa Kamal Pasha has said the university was working to introduce foreign faculty group with an objective of ensuring quality education at medical colleges.

In a statement issue on Saturday, he said Pakistani doctors, especially Nishtarians, who were working at good positions in European and some other countries, were extending remarkable cooperation to Nishtar Hospital as well as the university. A good number of doctors of Nishtar Alumni Association of North America and England Alumni were ready to teach, free of charge, to medical students.

Dr Pasha said work was in progress to introduce foreign faculty group as these teachers would continue visiting and delivering lectures to the local students. In near future, they would start teaching the local students, he added.

Meanwhile, the city traffic police issued diversion route plan for candidates of medical entry test going to be held on October 29 (today) at Bahauddin Zakariya University. The personnel of traffic police have been deputed at various locations to guide the candidates. The police have also displayed informative banners at different points in the city.

The candidates from Chanab Bridge side would adopt route of Naag Shah Chowk to Old Shujabad Road to Chungi No 1 to reach Bosan Road. The candidates of Bahawalpur bypass and Vehari would reach university through Vehari Chowk, Chowk Qadafi to Nangana Chowk while candidates of Khanewal would reach examination centre through Sahoo Chowk, Dehr Chowk, Nangana Chowk to reach the varsity.
