The federal government is set to miss another deadline on implementing open government partnerships in the country.

The government was supposed to present a National Action Plan on implementing Open Government Partnership (OGP) by October 31, 2017.

But the Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) believes there is little indication that the government would meet the deadline, even as the independent, non-partisan and not-for-profit NGO urged the government to hasten implementation.

“Pakistan government committed on an international forum to adhere to four key principles of the OGP, including fiscal transparency, access to information, asset disclosures and citizen engagements,” the CPDI said.
