Fatima Fertilizer’s earnings fall on weaker sales

No dividend declared for third quarter in a row

KARACHI: Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, part of the Arif Habib Group, reported a net consolidated profit of Rs2.58 billion in the quarter ended September 2017, down 26% compared to Rs3.47 billion in the same period of last year, according to a company notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

Fatima Fertilizer posts Rs1.91b profit

Earnings per share stood at Rs1.23 in Jul-Sep 2017 compared with Rs1.66 in the corresponding period of previous year. In the first nine months of 2017, the company posted net earnings of Rs5.61 billion, down 11% compared with Rs6.32 billion in the same period of preceding year.

The KSE-100 index closed at 41,291, down 192 points or 0.46%. Fatima Fertilizer’s share price stood at Rs30.51, down 0.42%.

Fatima Fertilizer switches to profit

Similar to the previous two quarters, the company did not declare any dividend for the third quarter.
