Game of Thrones season 7 ended on a high note some time ago. With Viseryon resurrected as a White dragon and melting a huge chunk of the wall, we honestly cannot wait for the next season to surface, which also happens to be the last season of the show.

However, here's more bad news...

Season 8 of the George R R Martin's fantasy drama will not be out for the next two year. Two whole years. Yes, you read that right!

While HBO has announced five prequels of the beloved and currently the highest rated show, here are five shows that you can totally binge on till 2019.

12 of the most shocking and satisfying moments from ‘Game of Thrones’ finale

1. Black Death

Let'e be honest here - Ned Stark's untimely death in the first season of the show had some serious impact on every fan. You're lying if you say you didn't tear up. So, in case you miss seeing Sean Bean (aka Ned Stark) on your screen, then you’ll absolutely want to catch this show.

Released in 2010, Black Death takes place during the Bubonic plague and centres on a knight (Bean) who guides other noblemen into a village, where a witch is rumoured to be bringing people back from the dead. However, this is not a show. It's a full-fledged flick!

The film also stars Carice Van Houten (aka Melisandre!), who tries her hand at magic, this time while wearing a blonde wig instead of a red one. Honestly, does it get anymore Game of Thrones than this?

2. Vikings

Now, Vikings might not be your personal favourite show yet - the series shares a stark resemblance to the HBO hit.

The series takes place during the Viking Age and fictionalises the rise of real life Viking ruler Ragnar Lodbrok. Lothbrok at times does give serious Jon Snow vibes. But, I do feel Lothrbrok is definitely the fierier of the two!

Every moment of the first four seasons has been adventure-filled, from raids to explorations, and the already-announced fifth season is sure to be just as thrilling.

3. Outlander

When Outlander premiered in 2014, the series looked rather less attractive than Game of Thrones and looked like a body double that nobody watched because they were too busy watching the actual showGiven the show's similar themes, a period setting, political wars, and intense scenes.

But thanks to its time-travelling twist and a true romance at its core, Outlander quickly proved itself to be a series worth tuning in for on its own.

Could 'Game of Thrones' costumes indicate the future of its characters?

4. The 100

Now we all love Game of Thrones (obviously), and The Hunger Games is known to be a fan fave as well... so, if the Game of Thrones and The Hunger Games had a baby, it would look something like The 100. Three generations after a nuclear apocalypse on Earth, 100 juvenile prisoners are sent from their space station to test the planet's habitability.

As they learn to navigate and survive the new turf, they find out that they’re not alone—and that’s when things get interesting. GoT fans who love the political aspect of Thrones will become obsessed with this series.

5. The Last Kingdom

Like Thrones, BBC's The Last Kingdom is a fantasy series adaptation, this one of The Saxon Stories by Bernard Cornwell. This saga does not include dragons, instead taking a more realistic approach to a period piece.

It introduces real historical figures, including Alfred the Great, and follows the Saxon-born nobleman who was captured and raised by Vikings as he seeks to recover his birthright. GoT fans will appreciate the similarities between Kingdom’s lead hero and Throne’s Jon Snow.
