Afridi to return to Test cricket

KARACHI:

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi stated on Saturday that he is keen to return to Test cricket.

Afridi had earlier announced that he was taking a temporary break from it to concentrate more on the short forms of the game.

He said he wanted to play all forms of cricket rather than restricting himself and that he was ready to make a comeback to Test cricket and hoped former Test cricketers and his fans would support his decision.

Pakistan is scheduled to play two Test matches against Australia, and four against England.

The England tour will begin on June 28, with PCB announcing the captain on June 25.

Sources said the cricketing board is looking to select one captain for all three forms of the game.
