FAISALABAD: A woman died of snake bite in Faisalabad on Tuesday. Allied hospital officials said 30-year-old Rabia, a resident of Chak No 293-JB, was working in the fields when a snake bit her.

As a result, she fell unconscious and was taken to Allied Hospital for treatment. However, she could not survive and expired.

In another incident, 35-year-old Nasira, a resident of Chak No 48-JB, was also bitten by a snake while working in the fields. She was admitted to the Allied Hospital where her condition was stated to be critical.

Earlier, a 13-year-old girl died of snake bite in Sahiwal. The snake bit Mah Rukh in her house courtyard at Canal Colony of Buildings Department. Deceased’s father Mukhtaar said as soon as the snake bit Mah Rukh, they brought her to the District Headquarter Hospital where duty doctors said they had no anti-snake venom vial.
