Christian Louboutin X Sabyasahi round 2!



Christian Louboutin is celebrating 25 years of his eponymous label this year and far from scaling things back, he is raring to go. Case in point: the forthcoming launch of his latest project; collaboration with Indian haute couture designer - and Bollywood favorite - Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The exclusive collection sees 15 women’s styles and four menswear styles created using sarees and ribbons from Mukherjee’s atelier archive — cut-offs which have been kept and treasured — making each pair totally original and totally unique.

Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy does it again



Oscar-winning Pakistani filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy has added yet another accolade to her name, winning the ‘Best Documentary’ award at the 38th Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards for ‘A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness’. A Girl in the River is the story of a young survivor of honour killing. The documentary, A Girl in the River has grabbed three nominations in categories Best Documentary, Outstanding Short Documentary and Outstanding Music and Sound. Sharmeen has previously won an Emmy for her documentary Children of Taliban and two for Saving Face.

Kami Sid is back with ‘Rani’



Social activist Kami Sid, who is known for working endlessly for Pakistan’s transgender community is back, spreading awareness in an upcoming film Rani. A powerful film featuring Sid is dedicated to end the transphobia, present at large in the country, and to break the stereotypes attached to it. Kami Sid believes in an end to the violence and phobia of Transgender Community, diminishing the limits set for them in the country and this movie is a great initiative!

Model, actor, producer and now partner and face of a fashion brand, Anushka Sharma is no stranger to entrepreneurship. The multi-hyphenate has now entered the world of fashion and retail with her newly-launched signature line, NUSH, which is her second entrepreneurial venture after her production banner Clean Slate Films. A fashion icon who favours high street brands and whose personal style is a mix of ready-to-wear comfort and designer chic, Sharma’s latest venture represents her personality as well as a collection for every woman.

Tom Petty: US rock musician dies aged 66



Tom Petty, the rock musician whose hits included American Girl and I Won’t Back Down, has died in California aged 66 after suffering cardiac arrest. Petty was reportedly rushed to the UCLA Santa Monica hospital after being found unconscious in his Malibu home, but could not be revived. The singer-songwriter and guitarist gained fame in the late 1970s with his band the Heartbreakers, who were seen as an integral part of the heartland rock movement.

Syra Yousuf hops on the the JPNA 2 train!



The Chalay Thay Saath actress confirms she’s going to be a part of Jawani Phir Nahi Aani’s sequel. She will be paired alongside Fahad Mustafa, who is said to replace Hamza Ali Abbasi. JPNA was 2015’s runaway hit; a comedy based on the misadventures of a group of friends on a vacation away from their wives in Bangkok. While little is known about the plot of the sequel, director Nadeem said that its shoot will begin in London next month. This film will surely be a must watch!

Balmain Army becomes the Angels Army



Balmain, the iconic Parisian fashion house is teaming up for an epic collaboration with Victoria’s Secret. Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing designed a capsule collection for Victoria’s Secret and from the look of the teaser video for VSxBalmain that was released on Thursday, October 5, it’s going to be major. This collaboration marks the first time VS has ever partnered with a high-fashion brand to create an exclusive collection. True to typical Balmain aesthetic, the fierce capsule collection will feature lingerie with embellishments, spikes, mesh, sequins, chainmail and more. We can’t wait!
