‘OPC working to resolve expats’ issues’

During meeting, complaints were discussed, OPC commissioner and cooperatives secretary issued necessary directions

LAHORE: Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti has said that the complaints of expatriate Pakistanis pertaining to cooperative housing societies were being pursued on priority basis.

He expressed these views while addressing the participants of a meeting to review complaints of expatriates on Thursday. Cooperatives Department Secretary Muhammad Shehryar Sultan and registrar Zulfiqar Ghumman also participated in the meeting. OPC Director General Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari, Revenue Director Ishratullah Niazi and other relevant officers attended the meeting.

Bhatti said the OPC, with the support of cooperatives department, was pursuing a comprehensive policy to settle the complaints of overseas Pakistanis regarding cooperative housing societies of the province and a number of complaints have been resolved with the vibrant input of staff of the department. During the meeting, certain complaints were thoroughly discussed and the OPC commissioner and the cooperatives secretary issued necessary directions in this regard.
