Amy Winehouse found dead
The star behind acclaimed album Back to Black had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, and it was widely assumed that they played a part in her death.
One report, however, quoted family sources as saying it could have been caused by sudden alcohol withdrawal.
Winehouse was found dead at her home at the age of 27. Her family, with whom she was extremely close, are in talks to create a musical, documenting the singer's life, reports Daily Mail.
Toxicology report: Amy Winehouse was 'clean' when she died
"A musical celebrating her life and music, is being discussed so it can materialise soon in the near future. It's something I'd really like to shape up and I'd be delighted for it to go ahead," Winehouse's father Mitch told The Sun.
"It would be for the West End. We want to do something that remembers Amy for what she was, there's so much more to her than just the drugs and alcohol," he added.
He said the aim of the show would be to demonstrate how Amy created her music, focusing on her talent rather than on her life struggles. Mitch disclosed that Amy had been clean for three years before she died.
