Man kills sister’s family in Sheikhupura

The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained as yet

SHEIKHUPURA: A man killed his sister, minor nephew and brother-in-law in Rehman Garden near Faizpur Interchange on Monday.

An official of Factory Area police said accused Asim gave some intoxicated drink to his sister Abida Bibi, her husband Rauf Ahmad and two-year-old Sarim. When they fell unconscious, the accused shot them dead. However, Abida's five-year-old son Abdullah remained safe during the incident.

The police have registered a case and started conducting raids to arrest the culprit. The bodies were sent to District Headquarter Hospital for legal formalities. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained as yet.

Earlier in August, a woman was shot dead by her brother in the premises of the Multan High Court for marrying a man of her choice.

Victim Kulsoom had come to the Multan High Court for a hearing with her spouse when her brother, Zulqarnain, opened fire at her. She died on the spot whereas three others, including her husband, Rafaqat Ali, and lawyer, were also injured in the firing.
